The neo-Gothic castle is the former summer residence of William of Prussia, the younger brother of King Frederick William III. Its final reconstruction in the mid-19th century gave the building a romantic and defensive character. The castle, flooded by a moat, is surrounded by a charming landscape park. Thanks to the significant amount of water, it can often be photographed in the mysterious scenery of morning mists, and the numerous paths that lead around the palace from all sides guarantee a multitude of shots.
