It also operates under the name of the Spa Mining Museum – and this term best describes the nature of the exhibition located in the basement of the Spa House. The exhibition in the historic building was prepared to commemorate the 260th anniversary of the first mineral spring casing in Bad Flinsberg, which took place in 1754. From that moment on, natural medicine in Świeradów-Zdrój gained incredible momentum.

Geological exhibits and information are interwoven with fragments of the town's history, with particular emphasis on the chapters dealing with the history of the spa. According to legend, as early as the 12th century, the people of Milcza built a temple nearby, where they worshiped a golden lion statue and a miraculous spring. The first known record of the healing properties of Świeradów's radon waters dates back to 1572, written by Berlin physician Leonard Thurneyssen. His opinion was apparently based on the fact that a dead frog lying in one of the springs had not decomposed for several days.
