Descent to the waterfall is via metal stairs suspended in the gorge, and a safety helmet is required for visitors.
An important thing to plan: the waterfall is located within Karkonosze National Park, and two separate fees apply: an entrance ticket to the KPN and a separate ticket to the waterfall. The park ticket does not include entry to the gorge. Admission to the Kamieńczyk Waterfall costs PLN 16 (standard) and PLN 8 (concession); children under 7 are admitted free of charge. The second day will see you ascending Szrenica (1,362 m above sea level), a peak towering over the city and one of the symbols of Szklarska Poręba. The Szrenica Cable Car, open year-round, leads to the summit. The lift consists of two sections—Szrenica I and Szrenica II—and a ride through both sections takes about 30 minutes. In the summer, the cable car operates from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with the last ascent and descent scheduled for 4:00 p.m. It's worth checking the current summer price list directly on the website. At the top, you'll find the "Szrenica" mountain shelter with a restaurant and viewpoints overlooking the Jelenia Góra Valley, the Jizera Mountains, and the Kaczawskie Mountains. The summit is covered with granite boulders, and nearby you can see characteristic rock formations such as Trzy Świnki (Three Pigs) and Końskie Łby (Horse Heads). It's a good idea to round off the afternoon with a leisurely walk around the city center.
Two days is enough to experience the character of Szklarska Poręba and see its two most recognizable attractions. However, there won't be time for longer hikes—those are worth planning a longer stay for.

The Szklarka Waterfall is the second famous waterfall in the area—easier to access and quieter than Kamieńczyk. Five days gives you room for more ambitious routes, a flexible day and some margin for the weather.
Day four is a good option for those in good shape. From the upper station of the Szrenica lift, further trails lead to higher mountain ranges—including towards Śnieżne Kotły, one of the most spectacular spots in this part of the Karkonosze Mountains. You can also hike up to Szrenica instead of using the lift. It's worth adjusting the exact route and duration of the hike to your own fitness level and current conditions, and check the KPN and GOPR reports before setting off—the weather can change quickly in the higher elevations.
It's a good idea to leave the last day as a buffer. If the weather cooperates, you can use it for another tour or a trip to the surrounding area.
