This is the place where the law of gravity deviates, on a section of Strażacka Street, from Karkonoska Street towards the "Wild Waterfall" behind the Piecuch Hotel and before the bridge over the Łomnica River.
Although the road here slopes gently toward Łomnica, on the straight stretch of road, cars with their engines turned off drive uphill on their own, while water spilled onto the street flows upward against gravity. The same applies to bottles, balls, and cans, which roll toward the hill.
Such anomalies occur in various locations on Earth. These include Australia, Barbados, Brazil, near Gold Hill in Canada, the Gansu province in China, Languedoc in France, Germany, Greece, and Ireland, as well as near the papal summer residence on Lake Albanskie on Via del Laghi in Italy, and Poland, on the road leading to the village of Żar in the Beskid Mały Mountains.
