Śnieżka – the highest peak (1603 m above sea level) of the Karkonosze Mountains, the Czech Republic, the Lower Silesian Voivodeship and the entire Silesia.
Located on the Polish-Czech border, it towers over the Jelenia Góra Valley. Visibility in favorable conditions exceeds 200 km.
The Śnieżka massif is formed by a distinctive rock pyramid rising over 200 meters above the surrounding ridges. For most of the year, it experiences very harsh weather conditions: low temperatures, gusty winds, and heavy rain and snowfall.
